Rewireable Connector

An IEC connector from Schurter, Santa Rosa, CA, combines a rewireable C19 connector with the proven V-Lock cord retention system. The 4799 rewireable connectors are particularly flexible and especially suitable for small series of mains cables to enable exactly this. The connectors enable designers to choose the right cable with a country-specific plug. This connector does not use halogens for the bushing or any other plastic components. It has all approvals for the European, Chinese, and North American markets, and it is certified in accordance with the IEC/UL/CCC 60320 standard.

Electromagnetic Buzzers

Raltron, Miami, FL, has released a series of electromagnetic buzzers. Designed for applications requiring high sound pressure level (SPL) buzzers and alarms, the RBE series offers some of the loudest devices in the industry, making them ideal for medical devices and healthcare systems. Spray Drug-Delivery Testing

SGS, Geneva, Switzerland, has expanded its spray drug-delivery testing capabilities at its laboratory in Wavre, Belgium. Utilizing the latest Malvern Spraytec system, the company can now accurately measure droplet size in real time during the spraying event, typically occurring within a fraction of a second. Per FDA, sprays are classified as combination products, meaning the formulation and delivery system must be tested together. To address this, SGS has paired the Malvern Spraytec system with the Mighty Runt actuator to precisely assess how factors like device actuation — including pump velocity and force — and droplet size impact drug delivery.

Grinding Platform

ANCA, Wixom, MI, has released a peel grinding platform designed to reduce cycle time. The MX7 platform offer seamless finished tool grinding in a single setup, including blank preparation. The setup features the P-axis Arobotech, which supports blanks at the grind point, enabling the efficient production of various tools with a surface finish below 0.2 Ra. Equipped with six wheel packs, the platform supports the grinding of various tool shapes in a single setup, eliminating the need for wheel changes.
