The Kit L4 encoder from Numerik Jena (Jena, Germany), is a flat encoder that allows for wide mounting tolerances and a pre-alignment of the measuring module. It is suitable for applications with instruments and machines used in medical systems. It offers a resolution up to 50 nm, measuring speed of 10 m/s, and high absolute accuracy (1 μm per m). After mechanical installation, electronic signal adjustment is possible to optimize measuring module output. The scale tape is available in two patented versions: SINGLEFLEX, used in basic applications where thermal expansion behavior is the same as steel, or DOUBLEFLEX, for applications with higher accuracy requirements and measuring lengths longer than 100 mm.
