STEUTE Meditech (Ridgefield, CT) has introduced the dual-function, Series WF-MED rocker-style foot-operated control for medical equipment. Optional design features include reed contact or microswitch digital contact closures, two-stage operation, Hall-effect analog control, protective braces, custom colors, special markings/icons, customer-selected cable and connectors, auxiliary pushbutton actuators, and AP and IP X8 ratings. With a mechanical life rating in excess of one million operations, the WF-MED is suitable for X-ray equipment, ultrasonic systems, positioning tables, bone saws, and dental systems applications. The unit is CE-compliant and meets IEC 60601, UL, and CSA requirements.
