Angle Sensor

An angle sensor from ASM Sensors, Elmhurst, IL, is suitable for tight installation spaces. The posirot^® PRAS20 sensors use multihall technology for noncontact rotation measurement. A magnetic measuring body is attached to the rotating component for measurement. The change in the magnetic field during rotation is measured by a multihall sensor. This magnetic measuring method means that the sensor is wear free.

Mobile Speakers

Raltron, Miami, FL, has released a line of mobile speakers with IP67/68 ratings for use in IoT, wearable, headset/hearing, medical devices, and more. The RSP-900 speakers are IP68 rated and can withstand immersion in water up to 50+ meters. Available in solder pad or spring termination with sizes ranging from as small as 12 × 5.5 × 3 mm to 38 × 13 × 3.7 mm, the SMD speakers feature sound pressure levels from 87.5 to 103 db. Most RSP speaker models have an operating temperature range of –20 to +60 °C with some models featuring a range of –30 to +70 °C.

Panel Builder 2025 for E3.series provides a digital solution for customers to support manufacturing tasks such as exporting files for manufacturing equipment and supplying instructions to the operators to install the wires and cables. This digital solution replaces the traditional method of using uncontrolled electronic files and printed paper copies, eliminating installation errors. Customers can automate the creation of input data for manufacturing machines to reduce errors and material waste. The simple user interface speeds up the learning process.

Servo Motor

Moticont, Van Nuys, CA, has released a hollow core voice coil motor, featuring an open aperture and high force-to-size ratio. The miniature HVCM-025-022-003-01 linear DC servo motor has a continuous force rating of 16.9 oz. (4.7 N) and a peak force of 53.5 oz (14.9 N) at a 10 percent duty cycle. The extended length of the motor is 1.31 in. (33.3 mm) at mid-stroke and has a 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) diameter open aperture for optics, illumination, laser beams, or passage of cables. The non-commutated brushless servo motor features zero cogging and zero backlash (when connected directly to a load), high acceleration, deceleration and high speed.

Fast Steering Mirror

A fast-steering mirror (FSM) from PI-USA, Auburn, MA, provides fast and high-resolution motion in two degrees of freedom. Based on solid-state piezo drives, the S-335 is well-suited for precise, high-speed laser beam control and high-resolution imaging applications. The mirror’s long angular travel range is made possible by a design using motion-amplified piezo actuators, operated in a differential push-pull mode for each axis. Closed-loop control with feedback sensors provides excellent repeatability and accuracy. The two-axis Tip-Tilt mirror can provide 35 mrad of mechanical angular deflection in two axes and 70 mrad optical deflection.

DC-DC Converters

A line of ultracompact, medically approved DC-DC converters from XP Power, Singapore, offer a wide 4:1 input ratio, making them suitable for various input requirements. The release of the Form 4L and Form 4BL 3D printers includes new printer accessories, two new SLS materials, five PreForm features, and new post-processing solutions to provide more scale, throughput, affordability, performance, and control. The Form 4L and the biocompatible version, Form 4BL, are designed to offer speed, reliability, and print quality at any scale from prototyping to production. The printer is built on the company’s Low Force Display^™ (LFD) print engine. The company has also released SLS and SLA platforms designed to deliver more flexibility and control.
