A wheelchair propulsion system was designed to minimize injuries associated with prolonged manual wheelchair use. A CPR device makes it safe and easy for anyone to perform CPR compressions. Besides improving lives, what do these ideas have in common? They’ve both won the Grand Prize in the “Create the Future” Design Contest. Could your medical innovation be next?
Now is the time to polish off those thinking caps: There are only 10 days left to enter this year’s "Create the Future" Design Contest. Enter by June 30 for a chance to win the Grand Prize of $20,000 USD, a workstation computer, and other prizes. There is no cost to enter. Visit www.createthefuture2011.com for details and official entry form.
Sponsored by COMSOL, Creo – a PTC product, and Tech Briefs Media Group, the “Create the Future” Design Contest was launched in 2002 to help stimulate and reward engineering innovation. Entries can be submitted by individuals and/or teams in up to seven categories.
The top entry in each category will receive a workstation computer from Hewlett-Packard. Prizes also will be awarded for the 10 most popular entries as voted on by Web site registrants. Click here to view this year’s entries and vote on your favorite ideas.
