Laser Components (Hudson, NH) has introduced anti-reflection (AR) coatings for use in applications when high power has to be transmitted across optical fibers using a laser. These coatings are intended to reduce coupling losses and avoid disruptive reflections. Three types of coatings are available on a standard basis for optical fibers: single AR coatings for one wavelength; dual AR coatings for two wavelengths; and broadband AR coatings for a wide wavelength range.
