The flat-profile MMP sensor from Metallux (West Conshohocken, PA) is suitable for medical technology positioning applications, including adjusting the position of operating tables and indicating fluid levels in devices such as syringe pumps and dialysis machines. The sensor is made from a VIC-TREX® PEEK™ polymer APTIV film that is hydrolytically stable and offers low moisture absorption and permeability. The sensor operates in temperatures ranging from -40 °C up to 125 °C. The film offers a lower coefficient of friction against the sensor’s metal foil and is FDA-compliant, halogen-free, and recyclable.
