ANCA, Melbourne, Australia, has released a robot loader designed to provide increased flexibility, more spindle power, or more automation. The F7X includes linear motors on x and y axes, an AM5000 control system for faster processing, and an HSK40 taper that provides increased rigidity and accuracy for improved tool surface finish results. The 3-axes ANCA robot has a capacity of 380 tools and accommodates tool sizes up to Ø20 mm (3/4 in.) × 150 mm (6 in.) long.

Electrical Discharge Machine

Beaumont Machine, Baavia, OH, has updated its electrical discharge machine (EDM) line with a new machine. The S-EW3 5-axis servo motor EDM combines several key features, including compact space, approach control, corner control, auto threader, and training software. The AU200-100x100-SC measures 80 mm (3.150 in.) high with a compact footprint (including the motors) of 348 × 348 mm (13.701 × 13.701 in.). The linear travel of the x and y axes is 100 × 100 mm (3.937 × 3.937 in.) and the resolution of the x and y axes is 20 μm (non-micro-step) or 1 μm (20 micro-steps per step motor driver in use), the typical repeatability is 2 μm, and the typical positional accuracy is 3 μm.
