Curable Adhesive

A UV curable, non-cytotoxic adhesive from Master Bond, Hackensack, NJ, features optical clarity and abrasion resistance. In addition to bonding, UV15X-6Med-2LV can also be used for sealing, coating, and encapsulating. The one-part system has a high degree of flexibility with an elongation that exceeds 100 percent and a low tensile modulus of 20,000–50,000 psi at room temperature. It can withstand extreme thermal cycling and mechanical shock without inducing stress on components. It bonds well to similar and dissimilar substrates including glass, metals, and plastics. It cures upon exposure to a UV light source emitting at a wavelength of 320–365 nm with an energy output as low as 20–40 mW/cm².

XP Power, Singapore, has released a series of rack-mount programmable DC power supplies.

There are five units in the PLS1500 series, offering DC output voltages of 30, 50, 100, 200, and 400 V — all with a 1500-W power rating. Up to four units can be connected in parallel for higher power (6 kW) and up to two connected in series for higher voltage (up to 800 V) and power.
