Abrisa Technologies (Santa Paula, CA) delivers customized precision optical glass assemblies and thin-film optical coatings for medical devices and analytical instruments. Glass is cleanable, dimensionally stable, and inert to most chemicals with the exception of hydrofluoric acid. The glass substrates can be polished, machined, drilled, patterned, coated with thin film materials, and bonded into assemblies. Fabricated glass parts are available from 6 mm to over 1,000 mm in diameter, with tolerance of ±0.025%. Glass substrate thicknesses range from 0.1 mm to over 25 mm. Hole drilling starts at 0.7 mm, with typical diameters starting at 2 mm.
