Teknor Apex Company (Pawtucket, RI) has released the Medalist MD458, a high-purity formulation that has passed ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity testing, is RoHS compliant, and provides a Shore A hardness of 70. It features a flammability classification of HB (UL-94) and a maximum continuous operating temperature rating of 105 °C (UL-1581). The compound is suitable for a range of applications, including hospital and healthcare environments requiring flexibility, durability, and chemical resistance.
