Qosina , a distributor of single-use medical and biopharmaceutical components, has formed a strategic partnership with Sealed Air, a provider of high-performance packaging solutions. The collaboration introduces NEXCEL® BIO1250, a robust, co-extruded bioprocessing bag film, to Qosina’s portfolio of bioprocessing solutions.
As an official distributor, Qosina offers NEXCEL® BIO1250 bag chamber film in a 138-square-meter roll format. Designed for manufacturing single-use bioprocessing bags, the PE-based film delivers exceptional durability, chemical resistance, and performance at ultra-low temperatures (down to –80 °C).
The unique dual ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) barrier layer system significantly limits oxygen transmission, complemented by a low extractables and leachables profile that ensures critical product purity and biocompatibility. Engineered for exceptional durability, the film resists stress whitening as well as scuffs and scratches, to help maintain the pristine appearance of high-value, presterilized ready-to-use bioprocess chambers upon delivery and handling. The film’s consistent performance and compatibility with a variety of ports, tubes, and connectors make it ideal for bag manufacturers and single-use system integrators looking to deliver high-quality, reproducible results.
“We’re proud to partner with Sealed Air, a company that shares our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer-centric solutions,” says Lee Pochter, CEO of Qosina. “This collaboration brings together our deep distribution expertise and Sealed Air’s advanced material science to better serve the evolving needs of the bioprocessing industry, from early-stage research to commercial production.”
