A Guide to Selecting Power Supplies for Medical Equipment

SPONSORED BY:

Medical equipment applications carry special requirements for choosing power supply solutions. Besides their own electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements, the mandatory safety and EMC standards are more restrictive than many other industrial applications. The qualification and life cycles are longer, and total cost during useful lifespan must be minimized. Overall, the reliability of the equipment remains a priority.

This 30-minute webinar, focusing on embedded power, aims to help medical equipment designers identify which attributes from the power supply can contribute most to the overall value of the design.

Topics include:

  • Testing of power supply safety and EMC according to IEC60601-1
  • Electrical and environmental specifications based on data sheets and certifications
  • The role of risk analysis

An audience Q&A session will follow the technical presentation.
