Flambeau Medical  , a full-service contract manufacturing organization serving the medical device and life sciences industries, has added a new industrial 3D printer to expand its rapid prototyping services.

The innovatiQ TiQ 2 is a high-speed 3D printer with intuitive smart functions and double extruder, developed for individual or customized mass production and is equipped with all the important functions for successful additive manufacturing of functional parts.

“We are excited to bring this added capability to our customers who require engineering samples and rapid prototyping before initial production,” says David Gonzalez, vice president of engineering. “This printer also allows us to build our own fixtures and end of arm tooling (EOAT), thus allowing for reduced leads times and cost to our customers.”

The TiQ 2 printer is particularly suitable for processing fiber-reinforced materials, plus other regular engineering resins, including:

  • IGUS IGLIDUR
  • PA-CF
  • PET+CF BASF
  • PLA PRO1 BASF
  • PP GF25
  • PLA
  • TPU
  • PPS CF

Flambeau Medical provides a full suite of development and manufacturing capabilities in FDA registered and ISO-13485:2016 certified manufacturing operations located in Phoenix, AZ. The company produces medium-to-high volume molded components, as well as fully automated assemblies. Services include secondary operations, Class ll finished device manufacturing, and sterile barrier packaging in Class 7 and Class 8 cleanrooms.
