Medtronic’s Micra Transcatheter Pacing System (TPS). The Micra TPS, which received FDA approval in April 2016, is a miniaturized pacemaker implanted directly into the heart without the need for leads or a surgical pocket. The TPS offers a less-invasive alternative to traditional pacemakers, reducing the risk of complications associated with leads and providing patients with a smaller, leadless pacing option.
