Once a science-fiction dream, artificial intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming part of our day-to-day routines — think Alexa, self-parking cars, and learning thermostats. But healthcare is perhaps the area in which AI stands to benefit humanity the most. A session at MD&M East in June will feature medtech companies that are pioneering the use of AI. The session is designed to help companies determine whether they should consider incorporating AI into their devices or at least developing devices that are compatible with AI technology.
The panel includes Jeff Headd, principal data scientist at Johnson & Johnson Medical Device Technology. Headd leads the Data Sciences and Advanced Analytics. He partners with sector-wide leadership to tackle critical challenges spanning the hospital medical device value chain with novel data-driven solutions. His multidisciplinary team applies expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data integration, and other modern analytical methods to address these challenges and generate business value. Other panelists include Jeet Samartch Raut, co-founder at Behold.ai and Bob Bouthillier, global director of embedded development at Radius Innovation.
