The 15th annual “ Create the Future ” Design Contest is now open for submissions and runs through July 1, 2017. Contestants are asked to submit innovative product design ideas that benefit society and the economy for the opportunity to receive global recognition and win a cash prize of $20,000 USD. There is no cost to enter.
The “Create the Future” Design Contest has helped stimulate and reward engineering innovation, and has brought attention to product designs that increase the quality of life, improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare, and help to reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources. The contest's principal sponsors are COMSOL and Mouser Electronics with Analog Devices and Intel as supporting sponsors.
This year’s categories include: Consumer Products, Electronics /Sensors/IoT, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive/Transportation, Machinery/Automation/ Robotics (sponsored by Maplesoft ), Medical (sponsored by Schneider Electric ), and Sustainable Technologies. In addition to product concepts, designs for products that have been introduced to the market within the past 12 months are eligible.
