Omega Engineering, Stamford, CT, offers the OM-CP-CRYO-TEMP temperature data logger that records temperatures as low as –86 °C (–122 °F). It can be used in applications such as monitoring blood plasma, vaccines, and pharmaceutical products. The standalone device does not require any additional probes. The enclosure is designed with a handle for easy attachment, and is IP65 splash resistant. It uses a USB docking station to communicate with a personal computer or laptop, and provides date- and time-stamped temperature readings. Users can view the data in graphical or tabular form. High and low alarm limits and warning limits can be programmed through the software.
