Artec 3D, Palo Alto, CA, has released Artec Studio 11 3D software that includes an Autopilot mode to guide users through questions about the object being scanned, and the type of 3D model that is desired. The software then deletes any unwanted captured data, auto aligns the scans, and selects the most effective 3D algorithms. The result is a highprecision 3D model. The software is compatible with Artec’s handheld scanners and a variety of sensors. The new software also offers a user interface adapted for tablet use, and is fully compatible with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
