2015 Products of the Year Named and Your Turn to Create the Future

In December, we asked Medical Design Briefs readers to select one product from our 12 Products of the Month that they thought was the most significant new introduction to the design engineering community in 2015. Thanks to all of our readers who voted. This year, our two winners were both innovative materials with specialized qualities. Here are the winners of the 2015 Medical Design Briefs’ Readers’ Choice Products of the Year.

RTP Company, Winona, MN, developed a proprietary alloy technology, the RTP 2000 HC series, designed to maintain strength, functionality, and integrity, even with repeated exposure to hospital cleaners used to disinfect medical devices. Your Turn to Create the Future

In other news, the 2016 Create the Future Design Contest, sponsored by COMSOL, Mouser Electronics, and Analog Devices, and produced by Tech Briefs Media Group, is open for entries. The contest recognizes outstanding innovations in product design worldwide, awarding a Grand Prize of $20,000. There is no cost to enter.

The “Create the Future” Design Contest has been responsible for bringing attention to medical product designs that improve the quality of life and increase the efficiency and quality of healthcare.

Entries can be submitted by individuals and/or teams in seven categories, including Medical Products. Prizes will be awarded for each category, and for the ten most popular entries as voted on by site registrants.
