The Transguard® 0201 Miniature Multilayer Varistor
AVX Corporation (Greenville, SC) offers the Transguard® 0201 miniature multilayer varistor, designed for small handheld devices and embedded components such as hearing aids and camera modules. It presents a 16VDC device with a 20pf maximum capacitance in an 0201 case size. The series features multiple strike capability and is able to withstand 1,000 strikes at 8KV of contact. The devices feature a sub 1nS response time to ESD strike and have a maximum leakage current of 50uA at rated voltage.
