One of the challenges of disposable syringe production is how to attach the stainless steel cannula or needle permanently and safely to the plastic hub. Most designs rely on adhesives to ensure a high-strength bond. Critical to avoiding failure is validating not only the appropriate adhesive technology but also the substrate, joint design, process parameters, inspection needs, and sterilization techniques.
