One-handed hemostasis valves. Qosina (Edgewood, NY) has introduced two one-handed hemostasis valves. Part number 80238 has an internal diameter that accepts up to 7 French and features a push-pull mechanism allowing a single-handed process to open and close the valve. Part number 80329 accepts up to 9 French and also features a push-pull mechanism to open/close the valve. This valve can also be closed the traditional way by turning the cap 3 times to seal. Once sealed in this manner, the valve has a lock feature, where it cannot be reopened via the push-pull method. The valves are made of polycarbonate and silicone.
