Tegra Medical, an end-to-end contract manufacturer of medical devices, has established a European sales presence in Sheffield, UK, and has hired a business development manager to oversee European sales.

“This is an important step for Tegra Medical’s progression to becoming an international company,” says Lee Crowe. “It dovetails nicely with the fact that Tegra Medical is now a member of SFS, which is headquartered in Switzerland and encompasses member companies all over the world.”

The company hired Neil Garner to serve as business development manager of Europe. Garner will report to Lee Crowe, vice president of sales and marketing. Garner comes to Tegra Medical with a strong background in medical devices and more than 25 years of experience in contract manufacturing. Prior to joining Tegra Medical, Garner worked with Neo Garner, Ltd., a medical device consultancy, where he was founder and managing director. Previously, he worked for Symmetry Medical, (Tecomet), as senior VP of medical products, operations, and managing director of Symmetry Medical, Cheltenham, and as operations director for Corin Medical, Ltd.

Garner holds a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University and is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
