Leadscrew Table and Ring Bearings
Posted in Mechanical Components, Products, MDB on Wednesday, February 01 2012
The drylin® HTSP-FF leadscrew table from igus (East Providence, RI) includes a quick-release nut that makes format adjustments faster and easier by reducing the number of revolutions required to position the carriage on a leadscrew assembly with a small pitch. The table can be adjusted by pushing a button, which releases the linear slide from the thread. The carriage can be manually pushed into place and locked in position. Adjustments requiring increased precision can be made using the mechanism’s hand wheel. igus also offers iglide® PRT slewing ring bearings that slide instead of roll. The bearings use two self-lubricating, low-friction plastic sliding elements in place of ball bearings. The low-noise modules help facilitate rotary movement in cleanroom applications, assembly lines, production facilities, and robots.
